SQUISH - KILLER BUTTERFLY [tab chords to be written up someday] Johnny and I were walkin' down the road It was such a beautiful bright sunshiney day We thought we'd stop in the park So we went in and sat on a bench We listened to the sound of the warm sunlight rustling the leaves And watched the still shadows that the wind cast on the ground Then this old lady came up to us She was hunched over, carrying a cane She asked us if we had the time I said, do I look like a frickin clock to you lady!? She didn't like that Well after that, we sat down some more and watched the birds scurry and the squirrels tweet Then we saw this butterfly It was the most beautiful butterfly in the world Johnny wanted to catch it He chased it all over the park! He chased that butterfly. And then he caught it! But what we didn't know, is that the butterfly was poisonous. He died instantly. He just fell to the ground dead. He just died... I'd never seen anybody die. It was terrible. He had this pale cold look in his eyes as he looked right at me, that seemed to say, WHY ME? And then he just fell to the ground dead right there... He didn't get to say goodbye to his mother or his father, he just died. People like Johnny shouldn't die, he was a good guy; he never hurt anyone or anything... well, except for the butterfly I mean he crushed it as he fell down But that doesn't really count, I mean since he was already dead. Johnny was my best friend, I.. hey, would you stop playing that music? This is really tough for me, this isn't a happy story. Johnny was my best friend; at the funeral, I-- hey, stop it, stop playing that music; it doesn't go along with the song! Cut it out! I'm trying to have a moment here!
